Dr Joanna Saddington

Consultant Clinical Psychologist & Director

I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2006. I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals across the neurodiverse spectrum both in the NHS and private practice.

I am the Director of Saddington-Spring Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia services. I aim to create a compassionate and affirming experience where people can explore their unique identities, build meaningful skills, and thrive in ways that honour who they are. To do this I partner closely with individuals, families, and communities to promote self-acceptance and empower people to navigate challenges with confidence. I have a passion for educating and training organisations and educational settings to better understand the needs of people who are neurodiverse. This can come from seeing too many children and young people not getting what they need when they need it. To do this I partner closely with individuals, families, and communities to promote self-acceptance and empower people to navigate challenges with confidence. I committed to ongoing learning and actively integrate the latest research into my work. I have recently participated in a research study with Kings College London looking at the development of therapeutic rapport with young people with autism.

Speech and Language Therapist

I have worked as a speech and language therapist across both the NHS and the private sector over the last 28 years, supporting adults and children with speech, language and communication needs.

I am passionate about person centred care and support and believe that careful and accurate assessment forms the basis of successful intervention. I use my specialised training in autism assessment to offer comprehensive evaluation services to help individuals and families navigate the diagnostic process with clarity and compassion. My approach combines evidence-based assessment tools with clinical expertise to provide thorough evaluations that examine communication patterns, social interaction skills, and language development. I understand that each person's experience is unique, which is why I tailor my assessments to consider individual strengths, challenges, and needs.
